This Colorado Privacy Rights Addendum supplements the IHM Holdings Privacy Policy and applies to residents of Colorado. It describes how International Healthcare Media, LLC ("IHM," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal data of Colorado residents, and the rights you have under the Colorado Privacy Act ("CPA," C.R.S. §§ 6-1-1301 through 6-1-1313), effective July 1, 2023.
This notice applies to you if you are a resident of Colorado acting in an individual or household context. It does not apply to:
We collect the following categories of personal data from Colorado residents:
We process personal data for the following purposes:
We share personal data with service providers who process data on our behalf under written contracts that restrict their use of the data to the services we have engaged them to provide.
IHM shares personal data with advertisers, sponsors, and marketing partners — including identifiers, professional information, internet activity data, and inferences — for purposes of targeted advertising and direct marketing. Under the CPA, this constitutes "selling" personal data and/or processing personal data for "targeted advertising."
Categories of third parties receiving personal data:
Under the CPA, the "sale of personal data" means the exchange of personal data for monetary or other valuable consideration. IHM does exchange personal data with third parties for monetary consideration. You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal data.
Under the CPA, "sensitive data" includes personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, mental or physical health condition or diagnosis, sex life or sexual orientation, citizenship or immigration status, genetic or biometric data, children's data, and precise geolocation data.
IHM does not intentionally collect most categories of sensitive data. However, as a healthcare media company, content engagement on our websites may indirectly reveal health-related interests, which may qualify as data concerning a "mental or physical health condition or diagnosis." We will not process sensitive data without first obtaining your consent, as required by the CPA.
We do not collect precise geolocation data (GPS-level).
As a Colorado resident, you have the following rights under the CPA:
You have the right to confirm whether we are processing your personal data and to access such data.
You have the right to correct inaccuracies in your personal data, taking into account the nature of the data and the purposes of the processing.
You have the right to request deletion of personal data you have provided to us or that we have obtained about you.
You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal data in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format.
You have the right to opt out of the processing of your personal data for purposes of targeted advertising.
You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal data to third parties.
You have the right to opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CPA rights.
The Colorado Privacy Act requires controllers to honor universal opt-out mechanisms. IHM honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals and other recognized universal opt-out mechanisms. If your browser or device sends a GPC or other recognized universal opt-out signal, we will treat that signal as a valid request to opt out of:
You can enable GPC in supported browsers and browser extensions. For more information about GPC, visit globalprivacycontrol.org.
You may submit a request to exercise your rights using any of the following methods:

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require the authorized agent to provide written proof of authorization signed by you, and we may verify the agent's identity directly.
If we decline to take action on your request, you have the right to appeal our decision. To appeal:
